21 August – 5 September 2026
The Gascoyne Food Festival is an immersive celebration of taste, place and people across one of Australia’s most extraordinary regions.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
A Place-Led Experience
Each event within the Gascoyne Food Festival is intentionally designed to reflect the character of its location – from coastal shores and working plantations to remote stations and cultural gathering places. Food becomes the lens through which the Gascoyne is explored, with chefs, producers, fishers and cultural custodians working together to share the stories, traditions and landscapes that shape the region.
Set within the Gascoyne – the food bowl of Western Australia – the Festival celebrates a place where ancient landscapes, pristine oceans and resilient communities produce some of the country’s most exceptional seafood, tropical fruits, pastoral products and native ingredients. It is a region defined not only by its produce, but by the people behind it – generous, grounded and deeply connected to country. The result is an experience that feels authentic, immersive and distinctly Western Australian.

ABOUT THE REGION
Where Red Earth Meets Turquoise Sea
Stretching from the turquoise waters of Ningaloo Reef and Shark Bay to rugged outback stations, ancient river systems and fertile plantations, the Gascoyne is one of Australia’s most diverse and extraordinary regions. Shaped by vast landscapes, warm climates and remote beauty, it is a place where ocean, desert and agriculture exist side by side in remarkable harmony. Here, pristine coastlines meet rich food-producing country, creating experiences that feel both wild and deeply grounded.
OUR STORY
Celebrating the Gascoyne Through Food, Place & People
The Gascoyne Food Festival was founded more than 16 years ago by the Gascoyne Food Council – a passionate group of volunteers committed to showcasing the extraordinary people, produce and landscapes of the region. What began as a grassroots initiative to celebrate the Gascoyne’s growers, fishers, producers and communities has evolved into one of Western Australia’s most unique and immersive regional food festivals. Guided by a deep connection to place, the Festival was created to tell the story of the Gascoyne through food, culture and shared experience.
