Think platters of Shark Bay prawns, plump scallops, juicy snow crabs, stiff fresh whiting and pink snapper. Think an island paradise in the Coral Coast, ready to welcome foodies and nature-lovers. Well, get ready to experience one of Australia’s more remote gourmet experiences on Dirk Hartog Island this August. Discovered in 1616, the island is one of the Coral Coast’s largely undiscovered gems, and home to one of Australia’s premier eco-tourism destinations. With fresh fruit and vegetable flown in from nearby Carnarvon, visitors will feast on the freshest seafood and gourmet cuisine, produced by Tony Howell and George Cooper, some of the country’s leading chefs, in an authentic beachfront ocean to plate experience.
