As the landscape turns from reef to red earth, the festival ventures inland to Gascoyne Junction, where the spirit of the outback is alive and well.

It begins with Supper and Stargazing at Mount Augustus Tourist Park on Friday 22 August — a spectacular setting beneath the world’s largest monocline. Guests gather under a canopy of stars for a fireside feast, music and stargazing. It’s a free entry family event not to be missed.

Flavours of the Upper Gascoyne on Sunday 24 August is a community picnic at Two Rivers Memorial Park - a joyful afternoon of local fare, bush music, games and laughter — a chance to meet the locals and share in the welcoming spirit of the Junction.

Not to be missed is the Outback Station High Tea Tour on Tuesday 26 August. This progressive, tag-along adventure winds through life on a working outback station, where guests are treated to sweet and savoury delights made with love: fluffy scones with bush jam, lemon myrtle sponge, wild herb quiches and sausage rolls served beside windmills, fire pits, and the ever-stretching sky. It’s a slice of rural life unlike any other.
